About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Steel Fabricator to join our team in South Australia. As a key member of our fabrication division, you will be responsible for safely operating construction equipment, including cranes, EWP's, scissor lifts, and forklifts.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with structural steel, have a basic rigging ticket, and hold current certifications for EWP's, Working at Heights, and White Card. You will also need to be organized, efficient, and productive, with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to OH&S practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate construction equipment safely and efficiently;
  • Read specifications or drawings to determine material requirements;
  • Lift and place structural steel members using cranes or signaling hoisting equipment operators;
  • Dismantle structures or equipment;
  • Perform pre-operational inspections and communicate maintenance needs to supervisors;
  • Apply dogging, rigging, and crane operation knowledge to ensure safe lifting and movement of loads;
  • Undertake regular maintenance of crane and rigging equipment;
  • Assist in other fabrication tasks as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with structural steel;
  • Basic rigging ticket;
  • EWP Ticket;
  • Working at Heights ticket;
  • White card;
  • Driver's license with reliable vehicle;
  • Adherence to OH&S practices;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Organized, efficient, and productive work style.
