About the Role

This engaging and fun role involves hosting tours, conducting gold pours, and selling personalised medallions. You'll connect with visitors from around the world, sharing the history of our organisation and Western Australian gold rush.

Responsibilities:

  • Host tours for visitors, school groups, media, inbound tour groups, corporate clients, and VIPs, providing exceptional customer service experience.
  • Perform gold pouring demonstrations in the Melting House for audiences of up to 75 people at a time, involving heavy lifting and pouring molten gold into a bar.
  • Engrave and sell personalised medallions to visitors and corporate clients, including bulk orders.
  • Engage with culturally and linguistically diverse client base in a friendly and professional manner and answer questions based on an in-depth knowledge of the industry and our organisation's history and current operations.
  • Promote our organisation at tourism and other external events, such as WA Week.
  • Ensure own safety and health at work and avoid adversely affecting the safety or health of any other person through any act or omission at work.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Customer service experience
  • Enjoys public speaking
  • Must be over 18 years old
  • Theatrical or public speaking experience (preferred)
  • Speaks an additional language (Chinese, Japanese, Mandarin) is desirable
  • Availability to work weekdays, weekends and school holidays
