This role is a 3-year traineeship as part of the NSW Aboriginal Population Health Training Initiative.

The successful candidate will complete work-based placements within the health service and study towards a Master of Public Health degree at a NSW-based university.

Key Responsibilities
  • Embedded training in various rotations
  • Addressing child and youth health service delivery and evaluation
  • Vaccine promotion and outbreak investigations
  • Working on messaging for climate change
Requirements
  • Must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
  • Sound knowledge of social, cultural, political and health issues affecting Aboriginal people
  • Demonstrated experience in project design, data collation and presentation
  • Successful completion of an undergraduate degree and/or ability to meet postgraduate degree requirements
