Engineering Director

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Leader to join our team at Sanitarium, a leading Australian-owned FMCG company. As an Engineering Leader, you will be responsible for delivering major and minor engineering capital expenditure investments across our range of sites.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional project management activities covering multi-disciplinary engineering fields, including building design and construction, electrical, mechanical, and process/chemical engineering.
- Manage a team of project and program managers, engineers, and trades, as well as third-party resources, to deliver project outcomes.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously across multiple sites.
- Develop and maintain constructive stakeholder relationships.
- Consult with project/program managers, engineers, customers, and other stakeholders on future projects and products.
- Determine capital budget costs and schedules.
- Develop and implement engineering processes and procedures.
- Report on active projects to senior stakeholders and the board.
- Manage third-party suppliers.
- Maintain a strategic overview of current and future engineering and project requirements.
- Stay abreast of technological advances and how they might be applied to Sanitarium.
- Monitor newly installed projects/equipment and respond to non-conformances.
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering-related field.
- 10+ years' experience in the project management of capital works.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects over $20m in value.
- 10+ years' experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Proficient use of the AutoCAD suite of software applications, including AutoCAD, Inventor, and BMS software.
- Extensive team management experience.
