**About the Company**
**Position Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Valve Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be reporting to the Workshop Manager, and you will be responsible for the following:
- Service and repair valves in the workshop and on site
- Repair and calibrate as required from job sheet instructions and in accordance to manufactures procedures and client instructions
- Identify parts required to facilitate repairs
- Diagnostic parts testing as required
- Assembly and calibration of new equipment as required by sales department
- Mechanical testing (hydrostatic and high-pressure gas testing, including repair and test safety relief valves by safely operating the relief valve test stand)
- Knowledge of NATA guidelines and where to apply.
- Maintain test equipment.
- Reassemble and test to appropriate standards.
- Ensure correct and accurate testing is carried out safely according to WPC work instructions.
- Provide print outs and written reports of valve conditions.
- Build and test automation brackets and fittings
- Service and repair on site
- Repair and calibrate as required from client instructions.
- Demonstrate correct service procedures to client personnel.
- Diagnostic testing and report preparation.
- Mobilise to site including air/road travel and nights away from normal overnight residence.
- Assist customers with pre-commission in workshop
- Provide on-the-job guidance and instructions to WPC apprentices.
- Provide on-the-job guidance and instructions to external apprentices on rotation at WPC
- Actively contribute to a successful and productive team that is outcome focussed and aligned to corporate goals.
- Collaborate with, and support, other team members, in particular WPC Directors and Managers to achieve team and corporate objectives.
- Foster an open, communicative working environment.
- Where appropriate, attend and participate in events that support on-going business and working relationships
- Adhering to HSEQ and general OHS obligations
**About You**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A trade qualification (either mechanical or instrumentation)
- 5 years practical experience
- Current C Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
- High Risk (Forklift) Licence
- Extensive working knowledge of valves
- Knowledge of diagnostic procedures
- Effective communication skills (English-written, verbal, and interpersonal)
- Ability to communicate with external and internal customers and suppliers
- Ability to work to deadlines and stay calm under pressure
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to actively participate in manual handling including repetitive exercises and lifting to 15kg
- A strong awareness and commitment to creating a safe and professional environment
**Desirable**:
- Overhead crane licence
- Dogging or rigging licence
- Restricted electrical licence
- Maritime security identification card
- Tropical basic offshore safety induction & emergency training (TBOSIET)
**Salary**
If successful, you will be paid a salary ranging between $70,000 to $90,000 per annum.
**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
**Education**:
- Certificate I - IV (required)
**Experience**:
- practical: 5 years (required)

- Forklift Licence (required)
Work Authorisation:
- Australia (preferred)
Ability to Commute:
