We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power System Analysis Engineer to join our team at the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water. As a key member of our Technical Advisory Services team, you will play a pivotal role in conducting power system modeling and ensuring the seamless integration of Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the technical integration of REZ infrastructure, including the design of cost-effective network solutions and system strength infrastructure.
- Develop and implement strategic solutions aligned with REZ program objectives.
- Optimize investment outcomes through power system analysis and modeling.
- Collaborate with network planning teams, industry experts, and effectively administer the REZ access regime.
- Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proficiency in power system planning and analysis, utilizing tools such as PSS/E, Power Factory, and PSCAD.
- Hands-on experience in leading the technical integration of REZ infrastructure.
- Expertise in joint planning for shared transmission infrastructure, power system modeling, and analysis.
