Your New Role

As a Cyber and Technology Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting independent reviews, both individually and as part of a team. Your work will primarily focus on risk management, process improvement, control assessment, and governance within the realms of IT and Information Security. Additionally, you'll be expected to audit broader business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review key processes and evaluate risks and controls in line with AU GA Methodology. Design audit programs to assess the effectiveness of controls through inquiry and testing.
  • Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Enhance the quality of reviews by understanding the broader business environment and staying current with emerging technologies. Apply a strong knowledge of IT risk, control, and security to your audits.
  • Communicate audit findings to Line and Senior Managers, delivering clear reports that highlight key issues, root causes, and overall themes.
  • Evaluate management's proposed action plans and offer value-added solutions when necessary.
  • Complete audit assignments within agreed timeframes and budget.
  • Proactively build and maintain strong professional relationships with stakeholders during and outside of audit activities.

About You

  • Successful completion of an appropriate tertiary qualification in a business or technology field or equivalent experience.
  • Eligibility in professional accreditation bodies (e.g., ISACA, ISC2, IIA) and a commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Minimum three years of internal auditing experience.
  • Tech-savvy and appreciation of IT risks in a computer-driven economy and rapid technology changes in areas of IT security and access, and general application controls. An appreciation and understanding of data analytics / mining would be beneficial.
  • Well-developed and effective communication skills including a high standard of business report writing.
  • Understanding and application of financial principles and grasp of business concepts.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within defined methodologies and timeframes.
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Visio. TeamMate advantageous.
