Senior Risk Management Specialist

The Queensland Fire Department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Program Officer to join its Risk and Business Continuity Management Unit. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in supporting the department's risk and business continuity management framework.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of risk and business continuity management frameworks, policies, procedures, and tools.
- Assist stakeholders in creating, testing, and exercising business continuity plans.
- Provide guidance on risk management to support strategic intent.
- Assist in managing enterprise and operational risk registers.
- Undertake research to improve risk management and business continuity planning processes.
- Deliver training and workshops on managing risk and business continuity planning.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing reports and correspondence related to business continuity and risk management.
- Highly desirable requirements include knowledge and/or experience in risk management or a related discipline.
- Understanding of relevant international and Australian standards and risk management frameworks.
The Queensland Fire Department provides fire prevention, preparedness, and response services to communities. We deliver multi-hazard emergency responses and support community safety outcomes.
