Occupational Therapy Educator Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Occupational Therapy Educator. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the next generation of occupational therapists by educating and supporting students as they build their clinical skills and undertake professional placements.

As an experienced and passionate educator, you will bring energy and insight to create an engaging, inclusive learning environment where students are empowered to succeed. You will draw on your established subject expertise, strong communication skills, and collaborative approach to deliver meaningful learning experiences that inspire curiosity and foster confidence.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in occupational therapy education, with experience in teaching, research, and leadership. They will be able to contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment strategies, and will have a track record of publication and presentation at national and international conferences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement high-quality educational programs for occupational therapy students.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment strategies.
  • Supervise and mentor students on professional placements.
  • Engage in research and publication activities related to occupational therapy education.
Requirements
  • PhD qualification in a relevant field or equivalent accreditation and standing.
  • Minimum of ten years clinical experience as an accredited profession in the field of study.
  • Effectiveness as a teacher including the capacity to conceive, develop and deliver higher education curricula and contribute to relevant areas of teaching.
  • Research experience and potential including refereed publications, participation in research teams and sound knowledge of research methodologies relevant to the discipline/field.
Desirable
  • Experience undertaking academic administrative functions, e.g. course coordination, within a University.
