Business Analysis Role

This is a Business Analyst position that involves partnering with the National Operations Loss Team to provide actionable insights and business performance reporting for Australian Supermarkets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering performance insights, driving performance improvement, optimizing end-to-end performance, championing continuous improvement, and fostering team collaboration.

To excel in this role, you will need to have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate will be able to communicate complex financial information in a simple manner, present and storyboard effectively, and navigate uncertainty and conflicting demands.

You will also need to have experience working with large data sets, simplifying complex information, and navigating finance and operations processes.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Performance Insights: Provide actionable analysis and commentary on departmental and category performance, including underlying loss, supporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting.
  • Drive Performance Improvement: Offer decision support and lead key forecasting and planning processes to enhance financial and operational outcomes.
  • Optimize End-to-End Performance: Collaborate with operational and finance stakeholders to improve overall performance and decision-making.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Identify, implement, and lead process enhancements within the finance team and across the business, ensuring data integrity.
  • Foster Team Collaboration: Actively engage in team development, sharing improvements, and maintaining robust financial processes and controls.
