Finance Business Partner role required for Nationwide food manufacturing retailer

My client is a Nationwide food manufacturing retailer, who are seeking a Finance Business Partner on as full-time basis. The Finance Business Partner will serve as a strategic partner and work closely with the CFO. This role involves collaborating to provide financial insights, analysis, and guidance to support decision-making and drive business performance. The Finance Business Partner role will assist with ensuring financial objectives are aligned with overall business goals.
**Your new role**- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Collaborate with business leaders to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to drive financial performance.
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics and variances against budgets/forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities.- Business Performance Management:
- Partner with business units to set performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct regular performance reviews, comparing actual results with targets and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Identify areas for cost optimisation, efficiency enhancement, and revenue growth.- Decision Support:
- Provide financial analysis and guidance for strategic initiatives, investments, and business cases.
- Evaluate the financial impact of various scenarios and alternatives to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Support business leaders in assessing risks and evaluating potential opportunities.- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with business unit leaders and stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Communicate financial information effectively, both verbally and in written reports/presentations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial awareness and foster a culture of financial accountability.- Business Partnering:
- Understand the operations, challenges, and goals of assigned business units.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and controls.
- Provide guidance and support for financial implications of strategic initiatives and operational changes.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (MBA or professional certifications such as CA or CPA).
- Proven experience as a finance business partner or similar role.
- Strong financial analysis and modelling skills.
- Excellent understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and financial statements.
- Ability to translate complex financial information into clear and actionable insights.
- Advanced proficiency in financial planning and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial modelling software).
- Strong business acumen and ability to understand operational drivers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or retail preferred
