Senior Compliance Professional

The position entails serving as a senior leadership figure responsible for overseeing corporate governance and ensuring the implementation of policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with General Counsel to manage corporate governance, board of directors, SEC/securities, and transactional legal matters
  • Manage logistical aspects pertaining to the board of directors and its committees
  • Support external and internal audit teams in verifying compliance with relevant policies and regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley and other audit requirements
  • Evaluate, revise, and implement policies and procedures relating to corporate governance, subsidiary governance, and legal operations
  • Lead a team of professionals across the globe who oversee compliance in a network of global subsidiaries
  • Provide strategic input on restructuring and optimization projects related to legal entities
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and 7-10+ years of relevant experience OR Paralegal certificate with an ABA-accredited program and 12-15+ years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience working as a member of the legal and/or corporate secretary department of a U.S. publicly traded company with global operations
  • Possession of a North Carolina Notary Public credential or obtaining within 90 days of hire date
  • National or state paralegal credential is a plus
