
Nurse Development Specialist

This position is designed for early career Registered Nurses who have completed a New Graduate program and aspire to develop their skills and knowledge in a Critical Care environment.
The selected candidates will be part of a model with 3 streams: Cardiology, Emergency or Intensive Care. These streams will support individuals for the duration of the 12 month program.
During this time, successful candidates will be supported by Clinical Nurse Educators to meet individualised professional development goals. They will work a full-time rotating roster.
All three clinical streams have diverse teams with varying levels of clinical expertise and welcome new clinicians. Candidates can look forward to being challenged in a variety of clinical scenarios.
This year is an inclusive participatory experience; this is not a role for an observer. Nurses will be learning in a hands-on supported manner.
At the conclusion of this 12 months, candidates can look forward to having gained skills and expertise that are transferrable to a variety of clinical settings.
Opportunities exist for those wishing to stay on and further develop in Critical Care.
Candidates should possess strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
