Public Asset Manager

As a Facilities & Assets Manager with Ventia, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day management of properties on behalf of the South Australian Government.
About the OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager or Assets Manager to join our team in South Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing public assets, including schools, hospitals, courts, and police stations, as well as other public facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of facilities management principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities- Risk Management: Identify areas of risk and opportunity in relation to maintenance and capital works, developing and implementing plans to achieve commercial targets and optimise lifecycle cost of facilities and/or assets.
- Asset Planning: Support the delivery of the Property Asset Management team's Asset Business Plans and all other strategic and asset planning initiatives.
- Maintenance Coordination: Analyse regular call-outs, reactive maintenance, and other requests to inform the respective departments to asset maintenance plans and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Contract Management: Monitor and direct contractor performance and ensure that all contracts are executed to budget and scope.
- Safety and Quality: Support the contract in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Audit and Inspection: Assist with audits and inspections.
- Experience: Have experience working within the below industries: Local government, Asset management, Field service, Project engineering, Facility Managers, Facilities Coordinator, Asset Managers, Self Employed Builders, Real Estate Property Managers, Real Estate Appraisers and Assessors, Developers, Property Inspectors, Property Managers, Commercial Appraiser, Real Estate Appraiser, Leasing Agents or Consultants.
- Qualifications: Possess project management qualification or demonstrated experience in relevant industry.
- License: Hold a current Driver's license.
