Position Overview

As a Senior Engineer specializing in Manufacturing Standards and Validation Documentation at Brambles, you will spearhead initiatives to establish and uphold manufacturing standards, validation protocols, and documentation practices across our global engineering and automation teams. Utilizing your extensive knowledge in engineering standards, validation techniques, and documentation management, you will ensure adherence to regulatory mandates, industry benchmarks, and internal change control systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the formulation and execution of manufacturing standards, procedures, and guidelines to guarantee uniformity, quality, and compliance for all forthcoming global manufacturing equipment.
  • Establish validation methodologies for manufacturing equipment, processes, and systems, including IQ/OQ/PQ protocols, risk assessments, and validation documentation.
  • Develop and sustain comprehensive documentation systems for manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems, ensuring precise record-keeping and traceability.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, industry guidelines, and internal quality management systems.
  • Continuously assess and update operational specifications throughout the project lifecycle, integrating feedback and changes to maintain relevance and effectiveness.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to create Statements of Work (SOWs) that accurately reflect project requirements, milestones, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistency in manufacturing standards, validation processes, and documentation practices across all manufacturing locations.
  • Establish Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) to validate system performance against defined specifications.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing standards, validation processes, and documentation practices, leveraging data-driven insights.
  • Participate in audits and reviews to verify compliance with internal processes and external standards.
  • Provide training and support to manufacturing teams on standards, validation processes, and documentation requirements, ensuring comprehension and compliance.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.

Desirable:

  • CCMP certification or equivalent relevant experience
  • Lean certification

Experience

  • 8-10 years of proven experience in manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, validation, or documentation management roles within a global manufacturing context.
  • Strong understanding of engineering standards, validation methodologies, and documentation management practices focused on manufacturing processes and systems.
  • Excellent project management capabilities and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in developing and implementing manufacturing standards, validation processes, and documentation practices.
  • Experience in establishing and managing a robust change control process to document best practices and facilitate continuous improvement across global manufacturing operations.
  • Experience in a global or multinational environment, with exposure to diverse cultures and business practices.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Operational experience supporting production in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with global teams and stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • In-depth understanding of Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), and Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) processes within development projects.
  • Certification in quality engineering, validation, or documentation management from recognized industry organizations.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies for optimizing manufacturing processes.
  • Experience auditing manufacturing processes and documentation systems for compliance and quality assurance.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies such as MS Project.
