Position Overview

As a Senior Engineer for Manufacturing Standards and Validation Documentation at Brambles, you will spearhead initiatives to develop and uphold manufacturing standards, validation methodologies, and documentation protocols within our international engineering teams. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks, industry benchmarks, and internal quality management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the creation and execution of manufacturing standards, procedures, and guidelines to guarantee uniformity, quality, and compliance for all global manufacturing equipment.
  • Establish validation protocols and methodologies for manufacturing systems, including Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) assessments.
  • Develop and sustain comprehensive documentation systems for manufacturing processes, ensuring meticulous record-keeping and traceability.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory mandates, industry standards, and internal quality assurance systems.
  • Continuously assess and refine operational specifications throughout project lifecycles, integrating feedback and lessons learned to enhance effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to draft Statements of Work (SOWs) that accurately represent project needs and acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with global teams to maintain consistency in manufacturing standards and validation practices across all operational sites.
  • Implement Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) to verify system performance against established specifications.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing standards and validation processes, utilizing data-driven insights.
  • Participate in audits and reviews to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to manufacturing teams on standards, validation processes, and documentation requirements.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.

Desirable:

  • CCMP certification or equivalent experience
  • Lean certification

Experience

  • 8-10 years of proven experience in manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, validation, or documentation management in a global manufacturing context.
  • Strong understanding of engineering standards, validation methodologies, and documentation management practices.
  • Excellent project management capabilities and experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in managing change control processes and facilitating continuous improvement across global operations.
  • Exposure to diverse cultures and business practices in a multinational environment.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Operations experience in supporting production and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • In-depth knowledge of Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) processes.
  • Certification in quality engineering, validation, or documentation management from recognized organizations.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other methodologies for process optimization.
  • Experience with auditing processes for compliance and quality assurance.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project.
