Logistics Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead our container fleet operations across Australia. This is a mid-senior level, full-time role responsible for optimising logistics processes and ensuring compliance.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of container logistics and intermodal operations, streamlining processes to reduce operational costs and improve service efficiency. Key responsibilities include leading and managing the logistics team, overseeing container forecasting, provisioning, and inventory management, and managing container movement data, sales, repairs, and claims.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, International Business, or Supply Chain/Logistics are essential to understand and manage complexities of global logistics operations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to quickly adapt to internal systems are required to manage high-volume container data efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and strategic decision-making capabilities are necessary to optimise logistics operations across multiple ports.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience working under pressure in fast-paced environments, with minimal supervision, while managing competing priorities.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders across countries and regions.

This role offers extensive prior experience in container logistics, stock management, and high-volume equipment flows, ideally within the shipping or maritime industry. Demonstrated team leadership and supervisory experience in logistics or supply chain operations, with a track record of improving performance and compliance.
