This includes risk management, risk mitigation, risk strategies and crisis management. Our services also include Technology risk and controls work, including consideration and evaluation of system related controls and risks.
  • Cyber Security– With cyber-attacks continuing to increase in complexity, sophistication and frequency, building cyber resilience across organisations is vital to minimising the impact of a cyber incident on your business. We provide cyber security services tailored to your specific business and organisational requirements, and the demands of your industry.
  • Transformation Risk and Program Assurance– Regardless of the size of the project or your organisation, project assurance is valuable in effectively assessing project and information technology governance, controls and implementation to ensure successful project & program outcomes.
  • Contract and Third Party Assurance– All organisations that outsource to third parties need assurance that the risks associated with outsourcing key services, including cost and performance controls, are managed properly. Our contract and third party assurance solutions include auditing and managing financial and commercial contract performance and risk.
  • Internal Audits– Our internal audit services include risk-based audit planning, financial and compliance audits, operational and performance audits, investigations, technology audits and project/program assurance reviews.

About the Opportunity

In line with our national growth agenda and strategy, we continue to invest strongly in the Risk Advisory Services business in Melbourne specifically. As part of this investment, and to meet the needs of our clients in the Melbourne marketplace, we are seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced professionals to join our RAS team across the following levels:

  • Senior Consultant
  • Manager
  • Senior Manager
  • Director

You will have the opportunity to work across all the service offerings highlighted above, and across all sectors including government as well as the private sector, under the guidance and mentorship of Partners with many decades of experience in these fields.

Key Responsibilities

Working with a dynamic group of Partners and the broader team to further develop and grow the RAS practice, which include the following:

  • Managing or delivering a variety of projects (in line with the services highlighted above) in accordance with our methodologies and procedures. This will include report writing and communicating with clients.
  • Collaborating across various teams to deliver valuable advice and precise recommendations to our clients in relation to their risks, technology, business, and/or initiatives.
  • Leading or supporting business development activities including engaging with current and potential future clients, tracking potential engagement opportunities, and developing proposals.
  • Collaborating with the Partner and senior management to assist with scheduling of work across the practice and Contributing to the development of junior staff in a mentoring capacity.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients (and the broader industry) and working with Partners in creating future business opportunities.
  • Any other activities as required supporting the efficient management and function of the team.

About You

  • A high level of experience in a similar role gained within the professional services industry.
  • A natural business development aptitude with evidence of an existing network of decision-makers.
  • A strong knowledge of business and IT-related risks, including process mapping and risk/control identification, including experience with relevant ERPs (TechOne, SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (via reports, spreadsheets, presentations, emails, and in conversations), work in a multi-disciplinary team, manage engagements and deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, or contribute to, the development of a team.
  • Depending on the seniority of the role being applied for, demonstrated ability to lead, or contribute to, client relationships and business development activities and initiatives.
  • A strong working knowledge of key business risks and an understanding of IT-related risks including, relevant exposure to latest best practices/methodologies/frameworks with regards to risk management, technology risk, cyber, project management, governance, etc.
