**About the Role:**

AU014 Mercer (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Risk Consultant to join their team in Sydney or Melbourne. As a key member of the Pacific Risk & Compliance function, you will play a critical role in providing advice and oversight of the business's strategic and operational implementation and associated risk-taking activities.

**What You'll Be Doing:**

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert advice on risk management frameworks and control environments to support the Mercer Super Senior Risk Manager.
  • Oversight and analysis of core risk data to identify emerging trends and areas for improvement in risk capability.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure strong engagement and effective risk governance.
  • Developing high-level advice on legislative change and its impact on risk profiles.
  • Presenting complex scenarios to stakeholders in simple terms.

**What You Need to Have:**

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • At least 2 years' experience working in a risk, compliance, or legal role, including experience in the practical application of risk management.
  • Experience in Australian superannuation.
  • Sound understanding and ability to operate within Risk and Compliance frameworks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage deliverables with rapidly changing priorities and demands.
