Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, overseeing distribution functions, and ensuring optimal inventory levels to meet customer service levels and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading S&OP meetings and preparing detailed analysis to improve forecasting accuracy.
- Converting customer requirements into production schedules and managing inventory levels.
- Coordinating with Purchasing to ensure optimal inventory levels and addressing any discrepancies.
- Overseeing warehouse and distribution activities, including third-party logistics and transport providers.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Managing a high-performing team, ensuring alignment with business and operational objectives.
Requirements:
- Formal qualifications in Engineering, Operations, or Business, or a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of S&OP processes and ERP systems.
- Experience with production and distribution methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Excellent people management, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Working Hours:
38hr week. Certain flexibility with start times between 8am and 9am.
