About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Family Services Coordinator to join our team in Hervey Bay, QLD. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support services to children, young people, foster carers, and families.

Job Description:

  • Plan, develop, facilitate, and evaluate educational and therapeutic programs to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and frameworks.
  • Facilitate intake processes, assess individual needs, and refer to targeted services for ongoing support.
  • Create comprehensive assessment reports on carers and young people, and manage the care approval process.
  • Coordinate case management, maintain detailed client records, and support joint case management processes.
  • Provide in-home and flexible support services, including after-hours and on-call support.
  • Build professional relationships with stakeholders and the community.
  • Advise, deliver training, and assist with reporting requirements.
  • Work sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to provide culturally inclusive services and address over-representation in care.

About You:

  • You have an empathetic nature, compassion towards vulnerable individuals, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • You possess comprehensive knowledge of legislative requirements and can promote a culture of compliance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A qualification in social work, psychology, or social sciences (e.g., Certificate III Community Services)
  • Over 5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of child protection and out-of-home care frameworks, including the Child Protection Act
