Our DepartmentThe Department of Medicine is a multidisciplinary team of General Physicians and Specialists, including Gastroenterologists and Hepatologists. Our diverse range of services includes Cardiology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Infectious Diseases, Palliative Care, Oncology, and more.
Working with UsYou will be working in a unique medicine environment where approximately 75% of inpatients are Indigenous. This requires effective communication and cultural orientation skills. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality care to our patients, and we are committed to supporting the development of our trainees.
Community and LocationAlice Springs Hospital is a 183-bed teaching hospital with strong links to other hospitals across Australia. Alice Springs is a vibrant regional hub with a multicultural community, well-established schools, and amenities. The city is bicycle-friendly, and there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities and exploration.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the provision of high-quality patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Develop and maintain clinical skills and knowledge in Gastroenterology
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve optimal patient outcomes
