The Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our Vickery operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing the operating capacity and availability of electrical equipment at the mine, ensuring safe and efficient maintenance practices, and meeting production targets.

This is an on-site role with a 9-day fortnight roster. We require applicants who reside in the Gunnedah region or are willing to relocate (relocation assistance provided).

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of electrical plant and installations at the mine.
  • Manage daily electrical maintenance operations, overseeing the implementation of electrical maintenance activities to minimize delays to operations.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with statutory and company regulations, Australian Standards, and best engineering practice.
  • Supervise electrical staff and contractors, providing precise instructions and inspecting electrical works undertaken.
  • Contribute to the development of electrical maintenance plans, internal standards, systems, and procedures in line with legislative requirements.
Requirements
  • Australian Electrical Trade Certificate of Proficiency qualification (mandatory).
  • N.S.W Supervisors license or electrical contractor license (mandatory) Supervisor G1, G8, G9, and Risk Management G2 qualification (desirable).
  • Extensive electrical experience in mining or heavy industry.
  • Experience working on electric driven trucks, CHPP/fixed plant, and issuing High Voltage access permits (desirable).
  • Previous experience supervising a team.
