The Role

We are currently seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join our Vickery operation. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will be accountable for maximizing the operating capacity and availability of all Mobile/Fixed equipment at the mine through the provision of safe and best practice electrical maintenance services. This will involve supervising the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of electrical plant and installations, as well as managing the day-to-day electrical maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation and Maintenance: Supervise the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of electrical plant and installations to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
  • Maintenance Management: Manage the day-to-day electrical maintenance operations and oversee the implementation of electrical maintenance activities to minimize delays to operations.
  • Statutory Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with statutory and company regulations, Australian Standards, and best engineering practice.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise the daily maintenance work of electrical staff and contractors by providing precise instructions, overseeing electricians, and inspecting electrical works undertaken.
  • Development of Maintenance Plans: Contribute to the development of electrical maintenance plans, internal standards, systems, and procedures in line with legislative requirements.
  • Procurement of Parts: Ensure that all parts and components required for electrical maintenance works are available by procuring relevant parts in a timely manner and efficiently raising purchase orders in PULSE.

What You'll Bring

  • Electrical Trade Certificate: Possess an Electrical Trade Certificate of Proficiency qualification (mandatory).
  • Supervisory Qualifications: Hold a NSW Supervisors license or electrical contractor license (mandatory). Supervisor G1, G8, G9, and Risk Management G2 qualifications are desirable.
  • Electrical Experience: Have extensive experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in mining or heavy industry.
  • Additional Skills: Experience working on electric-driven trucks, CHPP/fixed plant, and issuing High Voltage access permits would be an advantage. Previous experience supervising a team is also essential.
