Job Description

The Fund Trade Supporter role is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of fund trades. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of managed funds and unit pricing, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Trade Management: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely trade execution and settlement.
  • Payment Instructions: Generate payment instructions prior to daily cut-offs to meet client needs.
  • Trade Data Translation: Translate trade data into the accounting system in a timely manner.
  • Settlement: Settle trades accurately and efficiently within the accounting system.
  • Cash Reconciliation: Reconcile cash balances between statements and ledgers.
  • Unit Reconciliation: Reconcile unit differences between external registries and ledgers.
  • Periodic Transactions: Process periodic transactions, such as management fees and rebates.
  • Client Queries: Respond promptly to client and fund accounting queries.
  • Month-End Reporting: Provide comprehensive month-end reporting and unit reconciliation for all clients' managed fund holdings.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Price Monitoring: Monitor daily market price delivery from vendors and validate price movements against FDS benchmarks.
  • Price Updates: Manually update unit prices and indexation in the UPI system.
  • Ex Price Processing: Validate and process ex prices, dividends, and DRPs in a timely manner.
  • Pricing Exemptions: Process pricing exemption procedures as required.
  • Static Data Maintenance: Maintain static pricing data sets.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • 1 year of experience in the financial services industry, particularly within a large custodian environment.
  • A willingness to learn processes and tasks, with a desire to progress and develop technical knowledge and skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Personal accountability and attention to detail.
  • High-level understanding of managed funds and/or unit pricing.
