Safety and Wellbeing Professional for a Dynamic Animal Healthcare Team

We are seeking a skilled Safety and Wellbeing Advisor to join our team at Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH). In this part-time role, you will be responsible for promoting a safe and healthy workplace across our organisation. This position requires some travel across our Sydney sites.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive safety program to promote a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough investigations into workplace incidents, analysing root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Create and maintain safety plans, policies, and procedures that align with industry best practices.
- Foster a positive safety culture across the organization, engaging staff at all levels and promoting a proactive approach to health and wellbeing.
- Provide expertise in workers' compensation processes, including case management and injury prevention strategies to support staff recovery and return to work.
- Collaborate with management and staff to identify and address psychosocial risks in the workplace, creating a supportive environment that prioritises staff mental health and wellbeing.
- Deliver training and resources to enhance staff understanding of health and safety practices, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills required to perform their roles safely.
- Conduct regular safety audits and assessments to ensure compliance and continuous improvement, identifying areas for development and implementing targeted initiatives.

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
