The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an intermediate-level engineer to join our thriving Planning team. This role will be based in our Newcastle office and will involve supporting senior engineers in the delivery of planning, feasibility, and strategy studies as well as concept design for various water, wastewater, and recycled water engineering projects.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting senior engineers in the delivery of planning, feasibility, and strategy studies as well as concept design for various water, wastewater, and recycled water engineering projects
  • Hydraulic modeling of water supply and wastewater systems
  • GIS analysis, cost estimation, and report preparation
  • Field inspection and condition assessment of water supply, wastewater, and stormwater assets
  • Collaborating with other disciplines to contribute to process engineering, design, and asset management projects and project delivery services

Requirements

  • Recently completed a civil or environmental engineering or related discipline degree, achieving a high standard of results throughout your studies
  • Knowledge and interest in water and wastewater network planning
  • A commitment to learn and expand your knowledge of the water industry
  • Sound reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Exemplary skills in Microsoft packages including Excel and Word
