Job Title: Banqueting Kitchen Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Banqueting Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the preparation and service of food for large conferences and banquets.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist with menu planning and development, ensuring that dishes are created to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Work closely with the Sous Chef to ensure smooth and efficient running of the kitchen operation, maintaining high levels of cleanliness and organisation.
  • Take ownership of mentoring junior team members, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with other sections to deliver exceptional customer service, working together to achieve excellent results.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar high-quality hotel or restaurant environment.
  • Possession of a genuine passion for food, with enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
  • A thorough understanding of health and safety guidelines within the kitchen, with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, remaining calm and composed in busy situations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to effectively interact with colleagues and customers.
