We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Assistant Sommelier to join our team at Park Hyatt Sydney. As a key member of our restaurant team, you will be responsible for assisting the Hotel Sommelier in maintaining a comprehensive wine list, ordering and stocking wine, and providing exceptional wine service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Hotel Sommelier to develop and maintain a wine list that showcases a diverse selection of domestic and imported wines.
- Assist with wine ordering, collection, and storage to ensure a seamless wine service experience.
- Provide expert wine knowledge and recommendations to guests, taking into account their dining preferences and ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organized cellar and wine cool room, ensuring wines are stored properly.
- Develop strong relationships with guests, colleagues, and suppliers to ensure a positive and efficient service experience.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Current NSW RSA Certificate.
- Strong food and beverage service skills.
- Sufficient experience as waiting staff or assistant sommelier in a fine dining restaurant or similar environment.
