Design Professional Role Overview

This role involves working with clients to understand their design requirements and preferences, developing detailed building designs and architectural plans using Revit software, and ensuring all designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction processes, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities include collaborating with clients to understand design requirements and preferences, developing detailed building designs and architectural plans, preparing documentation for council submissions, ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards, coordinating with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders, and providing creative and practical solutions to design challenges.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clients to understand design requirements and preferences.
  • Develop detailed building designs and architectural plans using Revit software.
  • Prepare documentation for council submissions, including development applications and building permits.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide creative and practical solutions to design challenges.
Qualifications:
  • A degree or diploma in Building Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar position.
  • Proficiency in Revit software.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
