Design & Build Recruitment have partnered with a multi-award winning boutique residential construction firm specialising in custom new builds and major renovations in Sydney's beautiful suburbs.
The close-knit team has grown organically in the industry and is seeking a Building Designer to specialise in architectural design and drafting services.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with clients to understand their design requirements and preferences.
Develop detailed building designs and architectural plans using Revit software.
Prepare documentation for council submissions, including development applications and building permits.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Provide creative and practical solutions to design challenges.
Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address any issues that arise.
Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate into design work.
Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Building Design, Architecture, or a related field.
5+ years' experience in a similar position.
Proficiency in Revit software.
Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction processes including DA / CDC / CC.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Creative flair with a keen eye for detail.
Prior experience in residential design is highly desirable.

Salary up to $110k + Super
