Environmental Monitoring Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in environmental monitoring.

  • This role will involve conducting field work, including the collection and dispatch of samples, as well as maintaining records in accordance with our Environmental Management System (EMS).

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in environmental monitoring or management roles and excellent communication skills. They will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of effective environmental management systems and contributing to regular reports to senior management.

  • A key aspect of this role will be providing support to project managers and supervisors in delivering key environmental monitoring projects and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Climate & Environment team and contribute to our efforts to minimize emissions and potential impacts on the sensitive environments and communities around the Port of Townsville and Lucinda.

Your Key Responsibilities

You will assist in the timely implementation of our environmental monitoring programs and provide input into Team Planet initiatives as part of our vision for 2050. You will also assist with responses to environmental incidents, complaints and injured wildlife sightings as required, and provide assistance in emergency situations.

  • An understanding of environmental legislation and regulations.
