Key Responsibilities
  • Provide an intake function to Residential Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Programs
  • Conduct comprehensive AOD assessments and treatment planning
  • Referral and linkage into Community AOD Services

The clinician will be responsible for the assessment and referral into community residential Withdrawal and rehabilitation beds managed across DHS.

Requirements
  • Qualifications in social work, nursing, psychology or other relevant health discipline
  • Excellent assessment, treatment planning and clinical presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong understanding of Harm Minimisation, Relapse Prevention, Overdose Prevention and other evidence based interventions
