About the Role

This position involves delivering evidence-based assessment, formulation, and intervention for a wide range of mental health disorders and systemic barriers. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality support to our customers, addressing their non-vocational barriers and developing their skills and job readiness.

The successful candidate will have experience in delivering various therapeutic interventions and possess strong interpersonal skills. They will also be able to demonstrate experience in providing counselling and short-term intervention to customers with complex needs.

This is a full-time, ongoing position based at our Coburg Site, offering a 9-day fortnight and a dedicated, fixed day off every second week. Our competitive salary package includes the opportunity for salary sacrifice.

About You

  • You will be able to demonstrate competence in applying a wide range of therapeutic interventions to consumers with complex needs.
  • Experience in building positive interpersonal and external relationships with staff and other agencies is essential.
  • You will also need to demonstrate your ability to deliver 1:1 counselling intervention and problem solve complex presenting co-morbidities.
  • Group training and psychoeducation delivery relevant to the field are also required.
  • You will need to work effectively as an independent practitioner and as a team member across multiple sites and teams.
  • Excellent time management and administration skills, along with high computer literacy, are necessary.
  • Culturally diverse clients, employers, and staff require a high level of understanding and sensitivity.
  • Conflict resolution strategies and mental health service knowledge are also essential.
  • You will need to hold a current driver's licence and possess a minimum Bachelor Degree or higher qualification in Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, or Mental Health Counselling.
