Job Opportunity: Research Analyst

Join our global team of experts in investment research and analysis.

As a Research Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and rating of Australian and New Zealand equity strategies, including performance analysis, peer group comparisons, and interviews with key decision-makers.

  • Develop clear, concise investment due diligence reports supporting research ratings and present findings to internal committees and clients.
  • Collaborate with global research teams on projects, process improvements, and producing investment analysis and white papers.
  • Articulate Mercer's research process and investment views to clients and external stakeholders, representing the organization within the investment management community.
  • Support broader team activities and contribute to maintaining the organization's reputation as a leader in investment research.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in the investment management industry preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make decisions based on qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Excellent report writing skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Confident in engaging with investment managers and challenging their strategies.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of presenting and defending views both verbally and in writing.
  • Stable employment record demonstrating growth in responsibility.
  • Solid academic background and computer literacy.
