Job Opportunity: Environmental Research Assistant">

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Research Assistant to join our team and contribute to the conservation of Queensland's environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting critical weed biological control research through laboratory, quarantine, and field-based work. This includes applying scientific methods, maintaining compliance with safety and accreditation standards, and contributing to high-quality scientific results that drive innovative biological control solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our research team and make a real difference in the field of environmental conservation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory, quarantine, and field-based tasks to support research tackling invasive weeds
  • Apply scientific methods and maintain compliance with SOPs and safety standards
  • Collaborate with experts to deliver environmental and agriculture solutions to invasive weeds in Queensland

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with laboratory, quarantine, and field-based work
