Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies for the commercialisation of UniSA's IP and research activities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to secure research translation opportunities
- Oversee the operation of UniSA Ventures, a wholly owned subsidiary of the university
- Work closely with the Chair of UniSA Ventures and other senior leaders to drive the university's research translation agenda
- Manage a team of professionals to support the commercialisation of UniSA's IP and research activities
- Significant experience in the commercialisation of R&D, technology transfer, IP, or equivalent experience in a complex environment
- Experience in the management of an IP commercialisation function at scale, resulting in significant achievements in regard to commercialisation outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to build and develop key strategic relationships and deliver end-to-end conversion of commercialisation opportunities to support strategic objectives
- Strong experience in high-level project management and building sound and productive relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Extensive experience in leadership and management of people in both a direct reporting line relationship and in matrixed environments
- Excellent understanding of the industry, professional, and government environments in Australia and internationally in relation to research commercialisation and translation
