Sign Language Educator

As a Classroom Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and preparing programs to achieve specific student outcomes. You will engage in critical reflection and inquiry to improve knowledge and skills to effectively engage students and enhance their learning.
The primary focus of the classroom teacher is on further developing competencies to become an effective practitioner with structured support and guidance from colleagues at higher levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students
- Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs within the educational setting
- Undertaking other teaching related and organisational duties as determined by the Principal
Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant educational curricula, including the ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills
- Demonstrated experience in responding to student learning needs
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
Selection Criteria:
- SC1: Demonstrated knowledge of relevant educational curricula
- SC2: Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing high impact teaching strategies
- SC3: Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning
- SC4: Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
- SC5: Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values
