Job Description:
As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will be instrumental in transforming raw data into actionable insights. Your expertise in Power BI, both front-end and back-end, will be essential in delivering world-class reporting solutions. You will design, develop, and optimize interactive dashboards and reports, ensuring optimal performance through expert use of Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Service. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, gather data, and create tailored reports, performing rigorous data quality checks to guarantee accuracy and reliability. You will also integrate data from diverse sources into Power BI, working closely with data engineers and analysts to optimize data pipelines and reporting processes. Additionally, you will fine-tune Power BI solutions for speed and efficiency, implementing best practices to enhance user experience and maximize the value of insights. You will empower users through comprehensive training and support, troubleshooting issues and ensuring seamless report consumption. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision making, contributing to the evolution of the BI landscape, including migrations to HANA and Snowflake. Finally, you will create clear and concise documentation for reports, dashboards, and processes, driving reporting simplification and standardization across the organization.
Requirements:
We are looking for a results-oriented Business Intelligence Developer with front-end and back-end development experience within Power BI. You will have proven expertise in Power BI administration, development, and design, including data modelling, reporting, and dashboard creation. You will have a strong foundation in database systems, SQL, and ETL processes, with experience in tools like AWS Glue, DBT, and SSIS. You will also have solid understanding of AWS cloud fundamentals for data-related services. You will have demonstrated ability to create and implement universal semantic layers in complex data environments. Preferred experience in the retail sector is a plus, as well as hands-on experience with leading data platforms such as Snowflake, SAP BW on HANA, and Oracle.
