Position: Civil Engineer

Overview

The Stantec Community Development team is looking for a skilled Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. This full-time position involves overseeing civil design and documentation for a range of urban, land, and subdivision projects across both public and private sectors. You will play a crucial role in addressing design challenges, coordinating projects, and collaborating with various disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, coordination, and management of urban, land, and subdivision projects from initial feasibility to construction.
  • Draft technical reports and specifications to support project objectives.
  • Provide expert technical guidance to clients and assist in project support.
  • Oversee project management tasks, including scheduling and budget preparation.
  • Facilitate coordination among disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Conduct and manage site inspections to ensure project compliance.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of Stantec's civil engineering knowledge and skills, focusing on planning, design, and construction.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
  • Support business development efforts and assist in project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Proven experience in civil engineering design and project delivery, particularly in urban, land, and subdivision contexts.
  • Strong understanding of contemporary civil engineering technologies, including design, modeling, and construction methodologies.
  • Effective project management capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in report writing.
