Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Risk Management Specialist to join our Business Banking Risk Management division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and deploying risk frameworks to allow the Group to take conscious exposures to credit, market, operational, compliance, and insurance risks within a Board-approved appetite.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing advisory services on credit decisioning and recommending agriculture and commercial applications beyond delegated authority for regional and agribusiness clients.
  • Delivering insightful advice to internal clients, working with them to ensure solutions focus for clients and transactions.
  • Analysing industry changes which might impact risk outcomes, being able to recognise and recommend appropriate changes to structuring of credit proposals to control and manage these changes.
  • Reviewing transaction documentation in consultation with Bankers and legal counsel.
  • Working efficiently and effectively to optimise credit decisioning processes and turnaround times.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in a credit risk position, including exercising a personal delegation in a major financial institution.
  • High-level diversified industry knowledge and experience in Agribusiness and Commercial risk management.
  • Nurtured and maintained key internal stakeholder relationships, and client relationship management experience.
  • Sound influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to think outside the box and adapt quickly to new situations.
  • Graduate or post-graduate degrees in business or finance or Graduate of the Risk Business School.
