This position requires an experienced mechanical supervisor to lead the CHPP maintenance crews.

The successful candidate will ensure employees are adequately instructed and comply with all safety procedures and systems, HR policies, and relevant statutory legislation.

Key responsibilities include regularly inspecting the workplace for safe work practices and environment, actively promoting mine safety among the workforce, managing breakdowns and planned maintenance, ensuring CHPP safety and production targets are met, and working collaboratively with other departments to achieve cost reductions and efficiency gains.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, minimum 5 years' experience in the maintenance of a coal (or similar) minerals processing plant, relevant competencies and tertiary qualifications, strong knowledge of maintenance practices and an understanding of key drivers of a CHPP, and uncompromising commitment to safety.

This role offers a Monday to Friday roster, allowing for a residential lifestyle in the nearby Mudgee district, which blends the old with the new, the rural with the cosmopolitan, and the laid-back with the adventurous.

The area has numerous sporting clubs, art precincts, national parks, public and private schools, a well-resourced hospital, and a range of events. With 5 weeks annual leave, this role provides ample time to enjoy the region or get away, with a 3-hour drive to Sydney or the coast.
