Job Title

The role of this position is to provide regular support to families in their homes. This involves working alongside carers to help them attend appointments, access community groups and activities, and provide emotional support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with carer families to provide daily practical and emotional support
  • Assist carers to attend appointments and engage with the community
  • Provide ongoing support to assist the family
Key Selection Criteria:
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values
  • Appropriate qualification and/or experience in human services or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of vulnerable children, young people and families
  • Commitment to working collaboratively and liaising with other agencies and the community
  • Understanding of child protection and out-of-home care systems
