Job Overview

This role involves leading and managing strategic initiatives for capital works programs, ensuring infrastructure projects are innovative, sustainable, and community focused.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead performance enhancements across the organisation.
  • Conduct thorough service reviews to guarantee effective delivery of services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support sustainable outcomes aligned with community aspirations.
  • Provide expert advice for informed decision making.
  • Align work with strategic plans and budgets to deliver on organisational goals.
  • Achieve a deep understanding of the political, social, legal, and organisational context.
  • Offer strategic guidance to enhance project design and organisational impact.
  • Build relationships to advocate for the community and represent the organisation with key stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities that may affect the organisation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent. Additional studies in business, urban planning, and/or management are an advantage.
  • Registered building practitioner and/or Chartered Engineer with Engineers Australia capable of signing-off designs.
  • Current driver's licence.
Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, the ability to think strategically, and strong communication skills. They will also have a solid understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
