As a General Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of patients and be part of a multidisciplinary team working towards achieving and maintaining health and wellbeing.
About the RoleThis role involves providing primary medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence Policies and Procedures. You will form part of a team working towards the shared purpose of achieving and maintaining the health and wellbeing of Defence members. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for assessing Defence personnel for fitness for duty and providing care that will support the health and wellbeing of members pre and post deployments.
Key Responsibilities- You will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical services to patients, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, and treatment of minor ailments.
- You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients, including nursing staff, specialists, and administrative teams.
- You will be required to participate in regular training and development activities to ensure you remain up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and practices.

What We're Looking ForWe are seeking an experienced General Practitioner who has a passion for delivering high-quality medical services. You will need to have current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner, General in Australia, and recent participation in Continuous Professional Development activities. You will also need to have current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
