Job Overview

This permanent part-time role involves supporting the general medical admission assessment of patients at a leading mental health care facility. As a General Practitioner, you will collaborate with other team members to provide care under the supervision of a Treating Psychiatrist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient needs and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Provide medical care in accordance with professional standards and hospital policies.
  • Support colleagues in clinical decision-making and act as a resource person for staff.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage medications safely and effectively.
  • Participate in discharge planning and coordinate activities with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • AHPRA registration and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners are essential.
  • Minimum 3 years of post-graduate experience is required.
  • You should be competent in advanced life support measures and possess effective interpersonal and communication skills.
