About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at DCOH Services Pty Ltd (formerly Halikos Services). As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting and achieving new business opportunities in the hotel, accommodation, conferences, and event markets spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and nurture lasting relationships with clients to drive business growth and development.
  • Perform market research to identify industry trends and apply insights to achieve business objectives.
  • Provide market intelligence to leadership, including competitor insights, on a regular basis.
  • Develop and deliver reporting approaches to inform key stakeholders of marketing milestones.
  • Design and implement a company-wide strategy to sustain existing business relationships and penetrate new market opportunities.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the hotel's sales vision, including its offerings, services, and pricing strategies, to effectively achieve business goals.
  • Proactively drive sales and sales appointments with clients, which may involve interstate travel, networking conventions, site inspections, and familiarisation visits.
  • Proactively sell hotel services and amenities to the leisure market to increase revenue and establish a strong presence for the hotel brand.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to achieve streamlined management of sales and new business opportunities.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of achieving exceptional outcomes in a comparable business setting.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the hospitality industry in the Northern Territory.
  • Have exceptional analytical skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Have a thorough understanding of online distribution, eCommerce, and digital marketing.
  • Have advanced organisational and computer proficiencies.
  • Have effective skills in understanding multi-brands represented in the hotels to achieve a solid presence in the market.
  • Have proven discipline in seeing projects through to completion and ensuring business objectives are met.
  • Have acumen in lead generation until sales closure, including thoroughness in the handover to property once a contract is secured.
  • Have familiarity with financial statements and the ability to identify strengths and weaknesses from financial reports.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant role and strong exposure in the hospitality industry.
  • Proficient in computer systems and MS Office applications.
  • Effective people management skills.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and maturity in business engagements.
  • Driven, well-organised, and reliable.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 to $95,000 per annum and a full-time position in the Northern Territory.
