Job Overview

We're seeking a Research Lead to spearhead our AI-powered features and build on our foundational model roadmap.

This role involves coaching a team of world-class scientists, bridging deep research with practical application, and turning academic breakthroughs into delightful product experiences.

You'll lead and grow a high-performing research team advancing the future of AI at scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setting strategic research direction in alignment with our AI and product goals.
  • Coaching and mentoring research scientists to deliver impactful scientific contributions.
  • Guiding technical direction across foundational model development, experimentation, and evaluation.
  • Partnering cross-functionally to ensure research translates into product impact.
  • Representing us in the global AI community through publications, talks, or open-source contributions.
Requirements
  • A proven track record of leading research or applied science teams with a strong coaching focus.
  • Expert knowledge and experience with GANs, Diffusion Models, VAEs, and Autoregressive Models.
  • Deep skills in ML, AI, or foundational model development and training.
  • Ability to translate cutting-edge research into practical, scalable solutions.
  • Strategic thinking and scientific rigour in project direction and problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Staying current with research trends and enthusiasm for continuous learning.
