Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising construction projects from inception to completion.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale projects, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate project schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Develop and implement project plans, including risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Manage project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of project management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, use laser levels, calculate grades, and compute ratios and percentages as needed.
- Thorough understanding of construction codes, working knowledge of all trades, and OSHA safety requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of concrete construction, including installation of rebar, concrete placement, formwork systems, and layout.
- Proven ability to make decisions and follow through on commitments while successfully managing multiple tasks of varying degrees of scope and complexity.
- Knowledge and understanding of construction accounting and financial analysis.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook), CAD readers, and specialty construction management and scheduling software.
