Aged Care Professional Wanted

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Leader to join our team in an aged care setting.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in aged care, with at least 3 years of post-basic or post-graduate experience. They will also possess sound leadership capability, ability to build strong working relationships and highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and multitask.

  • Delivering high-quality care to each resident, respecting their privacy and dignity while displaying quality customer focus.
  • Supporting new graduates, overseeing clinical placements and supporting RNs from overseas working in our Home.
  • Developing, monitoring and implementing the nursing care plan as designed for each resident by the healthcare team and the resident/representative, making changes based on clinical assessment and liaising with resident/family regarding care requirements.
  • Assisting in the assessment, planning and evaluation of care for residents with complex needs.
  • Performing comprehensive assessments and developing short and longer-term treatment plans in line with diagnostic findings.
  • Leading case conference approaches, ensuring all relevant input is evaluated and considered in planning and providing person-centred care.
  • Driving strong clinical governance across the organisation and acting as an advocate for residents and their families in influencing clinical policy.
  • Participating in clinical research and evaluation initiatives to promote clinical practice.
  • Providing direct and indirect supervision for registered nurses, enrolled nurses and care staff, including acting as a point of contact for escalation of challenges.
  • Coordinating the day-to-day management of the Home in the absence of the General Manager and Care Manager (as required).
